In his ruling, Justice Buba Ibrahim said status quo be maintained pending the determination of a fundamental human rights suit Sanusi filed.
He had complained that he was unlawfully arrested, detained, and had his passport seized on Thursday.
According to him, the actions were in violation of his right to personal liberty, freedom of movement, and right to dignity of human person, as guaranteed under Sections 34, 35 and 41 of the 1999 Constitution.
Former Attorney-general of Lagos State, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) and Kola Awodein (SAN), are holding brief for the Kano-born royal prince.
