Martin Skrtel
and Raheem Sterling both scored twice as rampant Liverpool thrashed league
leaders Arsenal.
Slovak defender Skrtel finished from six yards inside a minute, before
guiding a header home for his second. A slick team move saw Sterling tap in and Daniel Sturridge added the fourth before half-time at Anfield.
Sterling scored the fifth from close range, before Arteta converted from the spot after Steven Gerrard had brought down Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Liverpool have moved to within five points of top spot and consolidated their place in the top four after a match in which they struck four times in the opening 20 minutes.
