Uduaghan begs Nigerians to support Jonathan

The Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has appealed to Nigerians to support President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said leading the country might not be as easy as people thought, saying with the prayers of Nigerians, the President would succeed.
Uduaghan spoke in Abuja on Wednesday when he led leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party from his state on a solidarity visit to the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
He said his state would continue to support the President, who is also from the same region with his state, the Niger Delta region.
The governor said, “The state is solidly  behind the President. He is one of our own and we thank Nigerians and we pray that they should continue with their support for him.
“It has not been easy, but with their prayers, he would surmount all the problems . Please, let us continue to support him. He deserves it.”
The governor gave assurances that the party in his state, which he said was polarised before, had come together as all the factions had agreed to work together.
He said the presence of a former Federal Commissioner from the state, who is also a prominent Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, at the meeting was a testimony to this.
Clark, who was beaming with smiles, agreed with the governor, who he described as his “beloved son.”
