The senate Wednesday finally cleared Godwin.I.Emefiele as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
His confirmation came two months after he was nominated by President Goodluck Jonathan as the next Governor of the apex bank following the suspension of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. The upper legislative chamber also cleared Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa as the substantive President of Appeal Court.
The duo was cleared after hours of questioning by the committee of the Whole Senate.
