President Jonathan, South West APC Governors Meet

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday in Abuja met with four Governors on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) from the South West zone. They are Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Ra’uf Aregbesola of Osun, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun and Babatunde Fashola of Lagos States.

At the end of the meeting, the governors said they had a fruitful discussion with the President on crucial national issues.

They, however, refused to reveal any specific issue discussed with the President, Gov. Fashola of Lagos State simply told the State House correspondents that the meeting was a private one, adding “if there is the need for you to know, the Presidential aide will brief you.’’ Gov. Kayode Fayemi, on his part, said they were in the villa to discuss national issues with the President. (NAN)

EDO GUBER ELECTION: Omo-Agege, Faith Majemite, Others Appointed Into APC National Campaign Council

Ahead of the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) unveiled a 197-member council on Wednesday to lead its campaign. According to the list released by APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has been appointed as the chairman of the campaign council.
