Ronaldo named richest footballer in the world ahead of Messi, Eto’o – See top 10

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, has been named the richest player in the world, with his wealth estimated to be about £122m.

Acording to the annual football Rich List published by Goal.com, the Portuguese tops the list ahead of fierce rival Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto’o and David Beckham.

Ronaldo signed a bumper new deal with Madrid worth £86.5million last September and in addition, has lucrative sponsorship deals with Nike, Armani, Castrol Edge, Jacob & Co, Herbalife, Banco Espirito Santo and KFC. The 29-year-old also launched his own line of underwear and opened his own museum last year.
