BREAKING: NSCDC Explains How Gunmen Hijacked Children School Bus In Nyanya

 

An official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps has revealed how gunmen hijacked a school bus  belonging to The Vine Kiddies Academy early Tuesday morning. The school bus hijacked in the Nigerian capital on Tuesday morning was a case of armed robbery, the NSCDC official revealed.


An official of The Vine Kiddies Academy, the school in Nyanya area of Abuja where the students were alleged to have been kidnapped, confirmed that an empty school bus was

seized at gun point. He said there were no students in the bus when it was seized.

The deputy commandant general (operations) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Evans Ewurum, also confirmed the incident. There was panic in Nyanya, Kurudu, and other communities on the outskirts of Abuja as parents rushed to schools to pick their wards. Many government schools in the areas were later shut, from parents who waited at the gates, to avoid a stampede.
