It
is a known fact that Delta is a Peoples’ Democratic Party State, which it can win
handily. The All Progressive Congress is praying that the PDP should shoot itself
in both feet and destroy its chances. To achieve total victory, it will be
political naivety to discount the fact that in the 2015 elections, the People
Democratic Party do not just need a candidate who would merely win the
governorship election but also one who would help to deny the APC the votes from Delta central.
With
his towering stature and his standing in Urhoboland, Ovie Omo-Agege, is in the unique
position to appeal to stakeholders in the politics of the senatorial district. He
is the man who can achieve the critical goal of reducing the strength of the
opposition in the district. For now the APC stands no chance in Delta State but
it may consider playing the spoiler game in the senatorial zone.
