Crisis Rocks Delta Guber Aspirant, Orubebe Media Team over Money Scandal

One of the 2015 gubernatorial aspirant in Delta State, Elder Godsday Orubebe is currently battling to save his head from bad media publicity, as his media campaign arms meant to protect him is currently in crisis. We gathered that Chief Alex Ikpeazu who once held sway as Orubebe media director has thrown in the towel following some alleged financial mismanagement carried out by him in the group.

"In his resignation letter, he noted that he was leaving “to maintain peaceful co-existence in our state now and beyond 2015, it makes sense to approach this sensitive issue not on the basis of zoning, but on the altar of equity, good conscience and the fellow's integrity. I hereby resign my position as the Director of Media and Publicity of Delta Peoples Forum (DPF)." Sources however that the sum of N 15 Million naira was released by Orubebe for gadgets such as Ipads and other smart phones as well as for 6months subscription through Ikpeazu for his online media foot soldiers based on Facebook but the money was singlehandedly taken by him. The fear of being exposed we gathered made him resign.

Another of the former Niger Delta Affairs Minister Facebook supporters, Jones Uboh who is related to Ikpeazu also resigned his voluntary membership of the group. Efforts made to reach him proved unsuccessful as he didn’t reply to messages sent to him.
