Governor Uduaghan, Expresses Satisfaction At The Peace and Unity Existing In the PDP Family in the State.


The Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, has expressed satisfaction at the peace and unity presently existing in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) family in the State. The Governor said this during a meeting with PDP stakeholders in Asaba. 
 
He explained that the unity in the party would enable them work together as a body. He charged PDP faithfuls to ensure that peace and unity existing in the State is sustained, he noted that he was glad that party elders and leaders were present.
 
The governor continued; “I thank God we now have a united PDP in Delta State. Few months back some of us here will not have been present at this meeting”.
 
He advised stakeholders to be loyal and dedicated to the party in order to move PDP in the State forward, so as to build a better Delta State.
Governor Uduaghan charged party faithful still aggrieved to set their grievances aside and unite with the party to move PDP to a greater level in the State.
 
In his welcome address, the State Chairman of the party, Barr. Peter Nwaboshi stated that the meeting was to prepare party faithful for the forthcoming PDP congress so as to have a peaceful congress in the state.

He explained that the forum was to enable members brainstorm on what to do in order to have a peaceful congress saying “we know we are all politicians and are bond to have different views, we can also disagree but we should be able to resolve things amicably”

Barrister Nwaboshi, said the decision to meet with PDP stakeholders was taken at the PDP caucus in the State and expressed the hope that all grey areas would be exhaustively discussed and amicable conclusion arrived at.

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
