DELTA 2015: Delta Guber Exclusive, Tony Obuh Retires from Government House

Speculations are rife that the Permanent Secretary, Delta State Government House and Protocol, Asaba, Mr. Tony Obuh may have retired from service of the Delta State Civil Service to pay more attention to his aspiration for Delta State governorship in 2015.

Feelers reaching us from Government House indicates that Mr. Obuh who is from Ika South Local Government Area is now the front runner for the governorship position to take over from Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan’s administration in 2015, purportedly threw-in the towel Monday September 1 to have more time to work towards achieving his aspiration for the Delta State Unity House.

Deltans were taken by storm when various groups came out in the last two weeks in support of Mr. Obuh’s aspiration. The Obuh aspiration has polarized the Ika nation, particularly Agbor. His entrance into the race has also upset the pockets of gubernatorial aspirants, including some old political brigades in the PDP.

It is also reliably gathered that the campaign train of Mr. Tony Obuh is currently in Kiagbodo to visit the home of Ijaw National Leader, Chief Edwin Clark to seek his blessing.
