AGBOR: WOMAN MACHETED TO DEATH BY IN-LAWS

A 25-year old woman, Chichi Dickson married to one Dickson Onyemari has been macheted to death along Sunny Ojugboh Street, Agbor in Delta State, Police report has confirmed.
The woman was allegedly murdered and left her in her pool of blood with a machete cut on her neck in the dining room of her husband’s house.
According to a release by Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, DSP. Celestina Kalu, men of the Nigerian Police got wind of the incident following report by mother of the victim, Mrs. Blessing Udeze.
As soon as Mrs. Blessing Udeze reported the alleged murder of her daughter at the Police Station in Agbor, detectives swung into action and arrested three male relations of the late Chichi Dickson. Those arrested are Francis Onyemari, Hope Onyemari and Ekene Onyemari.
The police release while noting that investigation is on-going to fish out anyone connected with the dastardly act to justice, added that one blood stained cutlass and a military face cap which have been identified as properties of one of the suspects, Ekene Onyemari is in the custody of the force.
The said Ekene Onyemari is said to have made useful statement that is aiding police investigation.

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health. In 2020, she was elected as the 22nd National President of the Medical Women's Association of Nigeria (MWAN).
