DELTA 2015: SENATOR IFEANYI OKOWA STORMS AKWUKWU-IGBO AND ISELE-UKU

Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarter of Oshimili North and Isele-Uku, the headquarter of Aniocha North Local Government Areas were on lockdown today following the visit of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP Governorship candidate in Delta State.
His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, Governor Delta State, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, Secretary to the Delta State Government were among those who graced the PDP Campaign Rally At Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State.

As usual the Campaign train first ported at the palaces of the Royal Fathers before moving into the campaign arena.  The sea of heads and cars stretched over three kilometres.  Everywhere was agog as in all places the campaign train passed through the people trooped out en-mass to showcase their love and support for the Delta PDP governorship candidate.

Senator Okowa was assured of the overwhelming support of the people of Oshimili North and Aniocha north Local Government Areas.

IBORI PARDON IN SIGHT? FG Inaugurates Presidential Committee On Prerogative of Mercy

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. It has a four-year tenure and includes members drawn from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), as well as representatives from religious bodies and four eminent Nigerians. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health. In 2020, she was elected as the 22nd National President of the Medical Women's Association of Nigeria (MWAN).
