Sir Fidelis
Okenmor Tilije, the former All Progressive Congress, APC Governorship aspirant
and former running mate to Chief Great Ogboru, DPP Governorship candidate in
the 2011 governorship election has dumped APC for PDP along with thousands of
his supporters. His formal declaration for PDP took place yesterday at Obiaruku,
headquarters of Ukwuani local government area.
Sir
Tilije said his decision to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the
People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the State was facilitated by the emergence of
Senator Okowa as the PDP flag bearer.
He
said the decision was enabled by the leadership acumen and competence of Senator
Ifeanyi Okowa to continue to move Delta State forward.
According
to him, he chose to leave the APC when he realized that he was not being
appreciated and recognized by the cabal in the party, despite his huge
contributions to its growth.
The former APC chieftain clarified that his decision to
leave his former party was basically a product of personal volition.
