DELTA GUBER POLLS: LOSERS SHOULD SUPPORT SENATOR IFEANYI OKOWA

Allegations and contentions that the Governorship election in Delta State was rigged are mere speculations and conjectures, which is usual in every contest within our clime. The question, however, is: If the opposition candidates who are contending that the Governorship election was rigged had won, will they be saying the same thing today?

Without doubt, Delta State is a PDP State and even if a fresh election is conducted in the State today, PDP will still win by a landslide, so long as Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is the candidate. I therefore, advise those who lost out in the Governorship election to listen to the voice of reason and put on hold their complaints.

They should in the spirit of good sportsmanship, join hands with the Governor-elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to move the State forward in the overall interest of all the people of this great State. We are one people with a common destiny. Instead of all these acrimonious bickering, they should come together in unity to develop our dear State. In every contest there must always be winner and losers.

The Delta State Governor-Elect, Senator Ieanyi Okowa is committed to serving the people of the State with passion when he assumes duty on May 29, 2015.

His victory at the governorship election was well deserved as Senator Okowa was unarguably better than the other candidates in all ramifications. In fact, most Deltans who have been around the governor-elect are moved by his intellectual capability, understanding of issues, calmness and self-effacement, especially when you hear him speak on matters concerning Delta State.

It is therefore clear that with Senator Okowa as the governor of this State, our people will witness a total rejuvenation of the economy of the State. God cannot be mocked. The success of Okowa is purely the handiwork of God.

The victory of Senator Okowa is a victory for equity and peaceful co-existence of the entire Delta State.  The Governor-Elect knows that without the support of Deltans, his aspiration would not have been a success.  Hence he has unswervingly emphasized that he will run a government of inclusion not a government of exclusion. No section of Delta State will be excluded from government’s development programmes.

He has also consistently assured that the support given to him by Deltans will not bring them regrets, but will rather change the fortunes of our land and our common history. He will bring his rich knowledge in public service to transform our State. It is about the people, not about him.
