GOVERNOR IFEANYI OKOWA SAYS DELTA STATE BELONGS TO GOD

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has enjoined the people of the State to appreciate God for the gift of life and all the wonderful things ahead. If not for God, we wouldn't have been alive.
The governor made the remark today, at the Family Thanksgiving of the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, at the First Baptist Church, Okere Warri.
Governor Okowa noted that Delta State belongs to God and that was why the slogan of the State was changed from THE BIG HEART TO THE FINGER OF GOD.
The Governor once again appreciated Deltans for their support.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Delta State, Dr Okowa and First Lady, Dame Edith Okowa has been honoured with a book for their inestimable leadership style.  The award was presented to them by the Baptist Church Bishop on behalf of Nigeria Baptist Church.
The book was presented during the Family Thanksgiving of Delta State Former Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan at First Baptist Church Warri, Delta State.
The former governor, Gov Uduaghan also got an award of excellence from the Baptist Church.
While presenting the award, the Bishop said he foresees Governor Okowa going beyond second tenure and that the Governor will take Delta State on the path of transformations.
