GOVERNOR OKOWA PUBLICLY ANNOUNCES FESTUS OVIE AGAS AS SECRETARY TO THE DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT


In a dramatic and interesting twist, God’s favour and humility, Festus Ovie Agas finally emerges as Secretary to the Delta State Government. The announcement was made today by the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at the reception that followed his thanksgiving.

Sure God win, but the role of humility of Festus Agas in his choice cannot be discounted. Festus Ovie Agas is the epitome of humility. Humility is the true key to success. Successful people lose their way at times. They often embrace and overindulge from the fruits of success. Humility halts this arrogance and self-indulging trap. Humble people share the credit and wealth, remaining focused and hungry to continue the journey of success.

Earlier at the Church service, Governor Okowa noted that Deltans have every reason to thank God. “We as Deltans are a chosen generation”. He stressed that though the road is rough, but by God’s grace his government will succeed. The Governor called on Deltan to continue to pray for his government.


Governor Okowa also advised Deltans not to stand up whenever he is called upon at any Church service, because all glory should go to God. He also urged Deltans never to genuflect whenever they want to speak to him, so as not reduce the grace of God upon him.
