BREAKING: BUHARI ORDERS SACK OF EFCC BOSS..FORMER KADUNA GOVERNOR MIGHT REPLACE HIM

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the sack and subsequent trial of Economic and Financial Crimes commision Boss Ibrahima Lamorde Global Village Extra, a US-based online newspaper has reported.
Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is being probed by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions over an allegation that he criminally diverted over N1 trillion recovered from corrupt individuals and groups by the anti-graft agency.
Part of the money alleged by a petitioner to have been diverted by the EFCC boss included the loot recovered from a former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; and ex-Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun.
He failed to appear before the panel on Wednesday and now it is almost certain that the Nigerian president has approved the immediate sack and replacement of Lamorde, who will be probed immediately afterwards
FORMER military administrator of Kaduna State Colonel Hamid Ibrahim Alli is being touted as the next chairman of the Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC) after current chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde was implicated in a N1Trn fraud sources in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have revealed
Blue-blooded, Col Alli was a die-hard IBB boy who is reputed to have said he would follow General Ibrahim Babangida to war blindfolded. However, after Babangida annulled the June 12 1993 elections, they fell out, with him telling his principal that he was wrong, pointing out that Abiola should be sworn-in as president even if he was the devil.
Rumour has it that Col Alli would have been executed by General Abacha if not for the fact that he was blue-blood. He left the army and government unceremoniously without money or scandal and according to reports, he is into poultry farming and still drives a 504 Peugeot saloon car.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...
