GOVERNOR OKOWA URGES NIGERIANS TO PRAY FOR THEIR LEADERS

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has called on Nigerians to pray for their leaders to enable them execute programmes that will be beneficial to the poor and needy in the society.
The Governor made the call today at the 13th anniversary celebration of Rock of Ages Christian Assembly International, Benin City. The Governor noted that "it is not enough to come to the church and pray for ourselves alone, we should pray for our leaders," adding, "we should pay attention to the poor and the needy in our society and as churches, it is not enough to pray for the poor and the needy, we should assist them physically to make progress."
He observed that the economic situation of the country can improve with prayers, asserting, "there is nothing God cannot do, if you call on the name of God, He will hear your prayers."
The Governor congratulated the Senior Pastor Charles Osazuwa for the growth recorded by the Church.
Earlier, Pastor Osazuwa described Governor Okowa, as a man of few words who does not fail when he makes promises, "he is a man of integrity and I can tell you that there are few people I have met with his level of integrity."
The Pastor preached on the topic, 'the mystery called name,' stating, "your greatest investment is your name, it is the greatest asset you are living for your children”.
