APC AND LABOUR PARTY PETITIONS: SAME EVIDENCES, PRAYERS AND JUDGEMENTS

When the House of Assembly Judgments started trickling in, the Delta State APC and LP stood head to head with frustration. So far the State House of Assembly Election tribunal has struck out all cases against the People’s Democratic Party. These were made possible because there was no substantial evidence before the court to prove their suits that there was no election in Delta State.

It is a very difficult task in law when one tries to establish a case on the fulcrum of absolute falsehood. The Nigerian Legal system is designed to expose such lies and lay bare every trace of fiction in law suits. The petitions of the All progressive Alliance (APC} and Labour Party in Delta State are all without doubt laced with lies and fiction. There is little or no iota of truth in evidences and other sundry fictitious applications.

So the landslide victories witnessed by the elected officers from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta State Chapter, goes ahead to prove the myth that truth remains and falsehood perishes. Truth and falsehood do not co-exist; falsehood does not remain, just as foam does not remain in water or the gold and silver ores which are heated in fire. Rather, foam dissipates and vanishes.

The recent dismissal of all APC petitions in the election Tribunals is occasioned by the fact that the foundation of their cases was the lie, that there was no election in Delta State, so just like foam it passed away as scum upon the banks, for it carries no fact and dissipates and scatters on the banks of the valley as there was no logical foundation to establish the cases on.

Contrary to their petitions that no election in the State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Delta State corroborated the evidences of the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa that the elections took place across the twenty five local government areas in the State. Since INEC as the institution that is saddled by Law to conduct the elections said there was election in the State, it is therefore glaring that Delta State APC chapter projected falsehood before the Law courts, with the intention to mislead the Judiciary and get power by all means.

Already, the dismissal of the cases of the House of Assembly election tribunal has sent clear signals to the APC and LP camp on what they should expect as their petitions, evidences and prayers are not different from all other petitions that were thrown out by the Court.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...

THE ENDURING LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP: Chief James Ibori Celebrated for His Impact on Delta State

On Friday, May 31st, during the funeral service for the Late Asagba of Asaba, the essence of true leadership was vividly displayed. The service featured the introduction of various dignitaries, including Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation who represented President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. As each dignitary was introduced, the church remained silent. However, the atmosphere dramatically changed when the name of Former Governor James Ibori was announced; the congregation erupted in wide jubilation and applause. This reaction was so profound that even Senator George Akume and Governor Obaseki could not hide their astonishment. The enthusiastic reception for Chief James Ibori during this solemn occasion highlighted his enduring legacy among the people of Delta State. Despite having left office seventeen years ago, he continues to be celebrated whenever he attends public functions i...
