The Delta State Election Tribunal sitting in Asaba has once again
ruled in favour of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of the PDP over Otega Emerhor of the
APC. This is the second legal victory
for Governor Okowa within six hours, following his earlier victory over Great
Ogboru of the Labour Party.
The Tribunal dismissed the APC gubernatorial petition against Governor Okowa
for failing to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt. A fine of N50,000 was
awarded against Otega Emerhor as cost.
