The Governor Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has
charged Christians to cultivate the habit of gratitude to God in order to
receive abundant blessings from him.
The governor who gave the charge at the weekend during the
2015 Harvest and Fund raising ceremony titled "Harvest of God's
Grace" of St. Peters Anglican Church Boji-Boji Owa Agbor, said that God
has lavished man with many blessings and man has no choice other than to
appreciate him with his life and finances.
According to him "Harvest is a time to demonstrate our
appreciation to God. We can show appreciation to God not only with our wealth
but also with our time, talents and life. l thank all that have contributed to
the success of this day harvest and fund raising, as we are building to God he
will bless us abundantly. There is nothing you give to God that is wasted, we
should learn to be grateful to God."
Governor Okowa thanked his friends that attended the
ceremony with him and contributed to the fund raising saying" This parish
is my home parish, l thank all my friends that came with me for the harvest and
for their contribution, they did not let me down. God will richly repay you for
this act of love and kindness."
He continued " l am here to thank God for the victory
he granted me at the tribunal recently, l have already celebrated my
thanksgiving at Government House Chapel but l am here to fulfill the promise l
made to God to show appreciation to the Almighty.
