DELTA STATE INAUGURATES 8 MAN COMMITTEE FOR IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY

Delta Inaugurates 8 Man Committee For Improved Productivity
The Governor of Delta State,  Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has approved the inauguration of an eight man committee to restructure the Directorate of Government House and Protocol for efficient performance and productivity.
The Committee with membership drawn different departments, sections and units of the Directorate has Mr. Francis Eboka, Chairman; Mr. Johnson Agbaike, [Member] and Mr. Daniel Erewharigbe, [Secretary] among others and has three weeks to submit its report.
The Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol, Mr. Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje who inaugurated the committee in his office yesterday in Asaba said that the committee which was approved by Governor Okowa was to proffer ways to making the Directorate function maximally.
" The governor approved of the constitution of this committee, there is the need to do some administrative restructuring in order to see how best to make the Directorate efficient, the different departments, sections and units should be properly structured to function better." , Mr. Gbegbaje said adding "l expect that all member of the committee will participate actively in the committee to achieve the expected results,  members have the wealth of experience and the Directorate want to tap from it to make things move smoothly."
The Permanent Secretary highlighted the Terms of Reference of the committee to include examining the present administrative structure in the Directorate and how responsive it has been and to draw up an organogram and schedule of duties for the respective departments, divisions, sections and units.
In a brief response, the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Francis Eboka thanked the Permanent Secretary for finding them worthy to serve the directorate in this capacity and promised that the committee would do its best to deliver on the mandate given them.
