– PDP appointed four
more aides to help the new chairman, Sheriff
– Sheriff who was
recently appointed now has a total of six aides
The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
has approved the appointment of some aides to the national chairman of the
party, Senator Ali Modu-Sheriff.
Barrister Inusa Mohammed was appointed as principal secretary,
while Chief Uche Nnaji was appointed as the political adviser to the national
chairman. Also approved were Senator Saidu Umar Kumo, special Adviser on
National Assembly Relations and Senator Ighoyota Amori (JP), special adviser,
Reconciliation and Conflict Management.
This was contained a statement issued on Wednesday, February 2,
in Abuja, by Prof. Adewale Oladipo, PDP National Secretary. All the
appointments take immediate effect.
Recall that on February 25, the party approved the appointment
of Hon. Inuwa Bwala as the special assistant (media) and Shettima Shehu as the
special assistant (special duties).
Sheriff now has 6 aides. Sheriff was appointed as the new acting
national chairman of the PDP on February 16. His appointed has been strongly
criticised and some called for his resignation.
