JUST IN: AMNESTY BOSS RELOCATES TO CREEKS; SIGNS OF PEACE VISIBLE

 Niger Delta presidential amnesty boss

Brigadier General P.T. Boroh (Rtd), from all indications has relocated to the creeks of the region.

Brigadier General Boroh is the special adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme.
This might not be unconnected to the recent activities of the Niger Delta Avengers.

According to a source, who simply identified himself as “Andy Spiff”, the Amnesty Boss was sighted having interactions in Rivers, Delta and Edo states on the same day.

The source noted:

“Over the past couple of days, Gen Boroh has had various meetings with ex-agitators and beneficiaries of the amnesty programme in the region.

“This vigorous touring might be evidence of the Federal Governments readiness to dialogue with the Avengers.”

It would be recalled that the Niger Delta Avengers have been targeting oil and gas installations in the region.

This, according to them, is in a bid to cripple the economy and bring the Buhari led federal government to its knees.

Just at About 2:15am on Saturday the Niger Delta avengers  blew up Nembe 1, 2 and 3 Brass to Bonny Trunk Line belonging to Agip and Shell.

Still not satisfied with the damage, the Avengers issued fresh threats.
Readers are unsure of what havoc they are planning to unleash as the threat says:

“To the IOC's, Indigenous Oil Companies and Nigeria Military:

“Watch out something big is about to happen and it will shock the whole world.”
Disparaging the federal government’s effort at ensuring that sanity is restored by calling for stakeholder's meeting, the Avengers tweeted.

“The Niger Delta stakeholder's meeting is an insult to the people of Niger Delta.

“What we need is a Sovereign State not pipeline Contracts.

“Something Big is About to Happen.”

How the strategy of the retired General will play out, is something the whole country will be eager to find out.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...
