Sahara Reporters has obtained information that President Muhammadu Buhari will not be going to Ogoni land to launch the clean up program.

The president scheduled to visit some states in south-eastern Nigeria to discuss with local leaders ways to tackle renewed violence in the area.

Buhari’s visit comes as attacks on oil installations blamed on the new group Niger Delta Avengers partially stopped oil production, and forced Chevron and Royal Dutch Shell to close at least two plants. One of the militants has on June 1 warned the life of President Buhari is in danger if he visits the Niger Delta region.
