BUHARI SHUNS APC DELTA AGAIN: APPOINTS JANET OMOLEEGHO OLISA AS AMBASSADOR

President Muhammadu Buhari has caused further heartbreak in the camp of APC Delta State as he announced his ambassadorial nominees without a single name from the camp of the Delta State APC actors.

With most of them praying and fasting for attention for federal appointment, Buhari has again shunned them, and rather went to bring Janet Omoleegho Olisa as his nominee from Delta State. This has further polarised the strength of the Otega Emerhor mentored APC which have not felt any impact of being members of the party that is ruling at the centre.

It would be recalled that the supporters of the party had been assured that the President will start considering them for appointments.

The Federal minister from Delta State did not emerge from their fold. With this current disarray within the party, most of its supporters have started looking towards sneaking back to join the Delta State Governor's camp because of their economic challenges and the fear of remaining in the wilderness till 2023.

IBORI PARDON IN SIGHT? FG Inaugurates Presidential Committee On Prerogative of Mercy

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. It has a four-year tenure and includes members drawn from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), as well as representatives from religious bodies and four eminent Nigerians. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
