The Delta State government has donated operational vehicles to the
Nigerian Police, Delta State command. The donation was made today by the Governor
of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at the new Government House, Asaba.
Governor Okowa noted that the vehicles will help the special police
units created to address security challenges in the State, with a promise to
provide more once the finances of the State improve.
Receiving the vehicles, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr Zannah Ibrahim thanked Governor Okowa for the gesture and assured that the police in the State will put the vehicles into good use.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the State Chairman of PDP, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Hon. Barr. Samuel Mariere, members of the State Executive Council and top government functionaries.
