The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has formerly
commissioned the 115 Megawatts GT-15 unit at the Transcorp Ughelli Power Station today.
Transcorp Power Limited acquired the Ughelli Power Plant in 2013 with an
operating capacity of 150 Megawatts. With the addition of another 115
Megawatts, Transcorp Power Limited has increased the Ughelli Power Plant to 620
Megawatts.
Other dignitaries who were present at the ceremony included the Hon.
Minister for Works, Power and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN and Chairman
of Transcorp Plc Mr. Tony Elumelu, CON.
