PRESS RELEASE: OLOROGUN KINGSLEY ESISO IS DELTA PDP CHAIRMAN...As Delta Exco Warns Party Members - Beware of Those Who Want to Reap Where They Did Not Sow!!

We read the idle, un-informed, misleading and totally absurd story titled: “DELTA PDP CRISIS: SHERIFF’S GROUP SENDS OKOWA FACTION QUAKING” published in several media platforms and we hereby state authoritatively that the story is absolutely false.

We wish to also state categorically that, contrary to the reported story, there is no pandemonium in the Delta State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Delta PDP family, under the able, dynamic and progressive leadership of the Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso led Executive, is very calm, united, unflinching and unfazed by the empty, deceitful and diversionary propaganda of certain persons, who have quite unfortunately and erroneously, arrogated the authority of speaking for the Party in the state to themselves, as a result of their misinterpretation of the Port Harcourt Court of Appeal Judgment.

Lets us place on record and unequivocally, that the decision of the Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt, has nothing to do with the congresses of the PDP that had already been concluded at the Wards, Local Government Areas, State and Zonal levels, across the country, so the leadership of the Olorogun Kingsley Esiso led executive is the authentic PDP exco in Delta state. The same applies to the leadership of the party at the wards, Local governments and zonal levels, all of which had already been approved by the NEC of the party, before the May 21, 2016 convention in Port Harcourt.

Suffice to state, that Dr. Cairo Ojougboh as we all know is handicapped by an extraordinary ability to utter and then appear to believe his own falsehoods. He inhabits a world of his own truths that do not necessarily correspond with reality. And mentally he prematurely ejaculates and will soon be cast down in humiliation and disgrace.

We want to use this medium to warn those who have neither contributed anything positive to the party nor promoted the unity of the PDP in anyway, in Delta state, but have rather been agents of division, disunity and confusion and now want to reap where they did not sow, to desist forthwith from their unproductive campaign of calumny and tow the path of reconciliation, if they wish to continue to be considered as worthy of the membership of our great party.

A word they say, is enough for the wise.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...

THE ENDURING LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP: Chief James Ibori Celebrated for His Impact on Delta State

On Friday, May 31st, during the funeral service for the Late Asagba of Asaba, the essence of true leadership was vividly displayed. The service featured the introduction of various dignitaries, including Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation who represented President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. As each dignitary was introduced, the church remained silent. However, the atmosphere dramatically changed when the name of Former Governor James Ibori was announced; the congregation erupted in wide jubilation and applause. This reaction was so profound that even Senator George Akume and Governor Obaseki could not hide their astonishment. The enthusiastic reception for Chief James Ibori during this solemn occasion highlighted his enduring legacy among the people of Delta State. Despite having left office seventeen years ago, he continues to be celebrated whenever he attends public functions i...
