GOVERNOR OKOWA MEETS WITH THE PEOPLE OF ANIOCHA SOUTH… Enumerates achievements amidst excitement.

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, on Wednesday continued his meet the people tour, with a visit to Aniocha South local government area.
The Governor Okowa, while addressing the people of the area, who turned out in large number, enumerated his administration's achievements in the last two years, saying the state government has been able to curb unemployment through the State's job creation and wealth initiative. He disclosed that the state government have trained a lot of persons through the Skills and YAGEP programmes. 
He noted that, "in terms of road development in Aniocha South, we have embarked on Construction of Ogwashi-uku/Ubulu-Unor Road, Reconstruction of Nsukwa-Ejeme Road.

In the area of sports development, Governor Okowa gave his administration a pass mark, pointing out that, "we are making deliberate effort at improving sports, and bringing back the golden old days. We have introduced what we called the Principal Cup, and we just concluded the final competition last week. We have also made annual inter-house sports competition in primary and secondary schools compulsory across the state." He also disclosed that, "we have instructed that any school seeking government's approval must have sports facilities."
On Security, the Delta State number one citizen explained to the gathering that, "government is working with security agencies in the state to ensure that our people are well protected," even as he assured the people of more meaningful and people oriented projects.
Meanwhile, the people of Aniocha South local government area have described Governor Okowa as a leader of inestimable value.
They expressed appreciation for the numerous projects so far attracted to Aniocha South local government area in the last two years by the state government. And pledged their unalloyed loyalty and continued support for the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration
