The Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance
(APDA), has been officially launched in Abuja.
The new party which has been talked about in political circles for a
while, made several promises to Nigerians ahead of 2019 general elections.
A chieftain of the party, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu announced on Monday, June
5, that the party will carry along all segments of the society in its dealings
He informed the gathering that the party will constitutionally reserve
30% slot for women, 25% for youths and 5% for people living with disabilities.
NAIJ.com learnt that he also said if the party has a chairman at any
level, his deputy will be a woman and vice versa.
'Women and youths bare the brunt of bad politics with the habitual use
of use and dump politics,'' he said
Highlight of the event was the presentation of flags to the party
chairmen at the state level.
