The Senior Aide to the Governor of Delta State on Research and Communications, Hon. Innocent Ojefia has assured that no amount of sponsored blackmail will distract Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from delivering on the SMART agenda of the State Government.

Hon. Ojefia stated this while playing host to members of the Delta Collectives, who were in his office on a solidarity visit to reaffirm their support for the vision driven government of Governor Okowa in Delta State. The visit was led by the Chairman of the Collectives, Mr. Ken Imonisa.

Describing the recent publications by Saharareporter as sponsored and politically motivated, maintaining that some mischief merchants and political fortune-seekers were working desperately to misrepresent Government genuine intentions because of the build-up to 2019.

Hon. Ojefia said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has been able to maintain peace and unity in Delta State, construct roads, boost agriculture, attract industrialization and generally earn Delta State the respect of Nigeria. He described Governor Okowa as a very focused and detribalized leader who believes in access to opportunity and ensures that his development thrust is well spread across the State.

The Senior Aide thanked Deltans for ignoring propaganda and mischief to demonstrate unshaken support for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. He commended members of Delta Collectives for their resolve to work with Governor Okowa, to seek the general good of Delta State and lauded their show of solidarity in joining the good people of Delta State to line up behind the Governor to extend his tenure beyond 2019, describing their commitment as patriotic.

The Research and Communications helmsman commended the Governor’s prudence in managing resources and sustaining the economy of Delta State, even in the face of present recession. He therefore assured the Collectives that their support for the State Government will not be regretted.
The Chairman of the Collectives and leader of the delegation, Mr. Ken Imonisa declared that its members are in support of the State Government and its programmes. “We are not afraid to say that Okowa will continue to be Governor, come 2019.

The Chairman of the Collectives said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has done well for the State and that there are indications that he will even do more. He said Okowa’s governorship in 2019 needs not be over-flogged. “With the support of Deltans, Okowa will still emerge governor in 2019,” Ken Imonisa stressed.
