President Muhammadu Buhari traveled with his wife Aisha, and two of their children, Yusuf and Halima, for the D-8 Summit in Turkey.

The development was made public on Wednesday, October 18, by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity

Adesina posted a picture on his Facebook page, showing the first family on-board the presidential jet, en-route to Turkey for the Summit.

The D-8 Summit is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 20.

President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Turkey on Wednesday evening, October 18, to take part in the Developing 8 (D-8) Summit, which is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 20.

The presidential aircraft reportedly touched down at the EsenboÄŸa International Airport, in Ankara, the Turkish capital, at 6:20 pm local time.

Upon his arrival, President Buhari and his delegation were received by the Nigerian ambassador to Turkey, Iliyasu Paragalda, as well as the governor of Ankara.

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
