The Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa today continued with visit
and town hall meetings to Urdu and Okpe local government areas. As part of the tour,
the Governor commissioned the Ovwian main road and the Orerokpe ultra-modern market.
The Orerokpe ultra-modern market, built by the Delta State Government comprises
of 196 open shops, 28 lock up shops, 4 offices, 16 toilets, 1 cold room, 1
storage room, 1 open hall, water borehole reinforced concrete underground water
tank, Steel elevated portable water tank, BEDC electricity supply, external
flood lights, platform for yam tubers among other facilities.
The commissioning was witnessed by the Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley
Otuaro, Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Chairman
Okpe Local Government, Hon Prince Godwin Ejinyere and His Royal Majesty Orhue
