Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently delivering the keynote address
at the Financial Times Africa Summit, taking place in London, UK. The
development was made public via the vice president's twitter handle,
@ProfOsinbajo.
Osinbajo stated that the Buhari government has invested more into
infrastructural development in 2017, than any previous government did at other
times in the nation’s history
Prof. Osinbajo arrived in London on Saturday, October 7.
The vice president is reportedly urging for more private sector
investment in the Nigerian economy.
Osinbajo stated that even though Nigeria is currently earning 60% less
revenue than it did 5 years ago, it invested N1.3 trillion in infrastructural
development in 2017; the largest capital expenditure in the nation’s history.
According to Osinbajo, this shows that you can do more with less when
there is good governance and prudent management of resources.
The Africa Summit hosted by the Financial Times (FT) of London is a
global forum, reputed as one of the leading conferences in the world on African
business and economic matters.
