CHIEF BARR. FRED MAJEMITE EMERGES AS NATIONAL DELEGATE

As part of preparations for the forthcoming National convention of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Barr Fred Majemite today emerge as the Ughelli North LGA delegate 2017 in an affirmative elections that held at the party Secretariat, Ughelli.

The PDP National Convention comes up in December, Chief Majemite was nominated by Chief Hon. George Osikorobia, former Chairman Ughelli North LGA and seconded by Chief Mrs Florence Ayomanor former LGA woman leader, and received the maximum votes to emerge as the local government delegate.


In his remark, Chief Barr. Fred Majemite thanked the returning Officer, Chief Robinson Ighorodje and the LGA Chairman, hon. Lawrence Agbatutu for the opportunity given him to serve his people. In attendance, were Chief Major Patrick Egone, Hon. Frank Edevbie, Sir Joe Enakerakpor, Madam Grace Odirri, Chief Macpherson Igbedi, Chief JB Oduma, Prince Ben Oru, Dora Eromafuru, all Ward delegates, LGA Excos and party faithfuls.

IBORI PARDON IN SIGHT? FG Inaugurates Presidential Committee On Prerogative of Mercy

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. It has a four-year tenure and includes members drawn from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), as well as representatives from religious bodies and four eminent Nigerians. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
