IPOB THREAT DID NOT AFFECT ANAMBRA ELECTION

Image may contain: 1 person
It most unfortunate that Saharareporters could easily jump into conclusion that the Anambra State gubernatorial election was not a success, because the people harkened to call by IPOB for a boycott of the election. What kind of IPOB scholarship is this? Is this the sort of thing we should look forward to in IPOB’s Biafra?
While attempting to show that IPOB’s call that the Anambra election should be boycotted was obeyed and a low turn-out was recorded, this and nothing beyond this was posted, even though the figures were wrong.
APGA === total votes 191,159
 APC ==== total votes 77,744
 PDP ==== total votes. 52,406
 PPA ==== total votes. 1,289
IPOB ===total votes 896,3
But a cursory overview of the last gubernatorial election, which held in 2013, also indicate a low voter turnout, though there was no IPOB call for boycott at that time. Now, may we please look back to the 2013 Anambra election:
APGA polled 180,178 votes
PDP polled 97,700 votes
APC got 95,963 votes.
Conclusion:  There is no real difference between the turn out in 2013 and the turn out in 2017. Or is there? And there was no IPOB threat then.
Please, let no one just drop meaningless numbers on us. Make it comparative and it will begin to have a meaning. This is the way I practice my journalism. As usual, I challenge any one to use the numbers in this and the 2013 elections to debunk my stand and stance.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...
