Valencia at the start of the second half
Thee home side finally pulled one back through Santi Mina who headed
home from a corner from the right.
But Madrid restored their two goal lead with six minutes to go as
Marcelo made no mistake with his strike at goal, placing his effort past Neto
into the bottom corner, after exchanging passes with Asensio.
Toni Kroos put the icing on the cake as his strike in the 89th minute
was too hot for Neto to keep out.
The victory sees Madrid cut the deficit at the top to 16 points as Los
Blancos move to 38 points on the log. Ronaldo also takes his La Liga tally to
eight goals but it is a far cry from the 29 La Liga goals he scored in 29
