A new movement, ‘Coalition for Nigeria (CN)’ touted by former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo in his recent statement, is expected to be launched on January 31.
Ex-President Obasanjo had in the statement advised President Buhari against running in the next Presidential election and announced plans to join hands with a movement ‘Coalition for Nigeria (CN)’ to tackle the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in next year’s elections.
He had said: “CN, as a Movement, will be new, green, transparent and must remain clean and always active, selflessly so.”
Vanguard reports that the movement is currently being coordinated by a former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and expected to be unveiled at an undisclosed location in Abuja.
“To manage possible ripples that may arise in the process of establishing leadership structures, the movement has opted to appoint what it calls spokesperson at all levels.
According to Vanguard, “Prince Oyinlola is now acting as the national spokesman; such roles would be appointed at all levels, including state, senatorial zones, down to ward level.”
