STEPHANIE OTOBO’S CONFESSION: Was She Also Paid To Describe Apostle Suleiman’s Manhood?

In March 2017, Stephanie Otobo, a Canada-based Nigerian singer, granted a press conference where she was asked about the size of Apostle Johnson Suleiman’s manhood.

“Well, it’s not very small, it’s an average size,” she had said, adding that “he’s very good, he likes to end it off on the back, on your back all the time, I don’t know why”.

At the time, Otobo was on a roll, constantly making damning allegations of an amorous relationship with the cleric who oversees Omega Fire Ministry.

In a bid to substantiate her claims, she released screenshots of her purported chat with the cleric and even threatened a N500 million lawsuit against Suleiman through her lawyer, Festus Keyamo.

Shortly after her allegations went viral, Otobo was arrested and arraigned before a chief magistrate court in Lagos for allegedly attempting to extort and blackmail Suleiman.

Ten months after that gripping episode, Otobo has made a sharp turnaround.

The singer said her heavy claims were part of a scheme put together by politicians and pastors to blackmail Suleiman, and that she was a willing tool.

In a video which surfaced at the weekend, Otobo backtracked while addressing Suleiman’s church congregation in Auchi, Edo state.

Although the singer pleaded for forgiveness, the sordid allegations she levelled against the cleric are still too shocking to depart the memory.

Here are some of the damning allegations she made against him.

Destroyed her pregnancy with a concoction

Otobo had accused Suleiman of reneging on his promise to marry her after putting her in the family way. She said he gave her a concoction which destroyed the pregnancy.

The actress said their respective families even went as far as conducting a marriage introduction ceremony.

Suleiman denied it all, challenging her to “provide evidence of the occasion, either photographs or video clips” to back up the claims.

Bouts of paid sexual encounters

Otobo said she was involved in different sessions of sexual intercourse with Suleiman in Italy, New York and Nigeria.

During one of their alleged encounters in Napoli, she said Suleiman gave her money to book a hotel within a close proximity of where he was lodged so he would be able to discreetly visit her at night.

Otobo said the cleric gave her €2,000 and €3,000 on two occasions so she could go shopping while he was occupied during the day.

She also accused him of being sexually involved with a Nigerian actress, Daniella Okeke, and a fair-complexioned Ghanaian actress.

Escorts, orgies and phone sex

She said the pastor is obsessed with threesomes and enjoys sexual orgies. Otobo alleged that Suleiman pays different ladies N400,000 per night for sex.

The singer said she partook in several episodes of phone sex with Apostle Suleman during which both parties would go naked while making video calls.

To back her claim, she shared screenshots of alleged video calls with the cleric.

Marital troubles

Otobo also said the cleric had confided in her that sexual intercourse with his wife was virtually non-existent.

She said most of the time they spent together, sexual intercourse was the primary activity. The actress said she refused to have a threesome with him because “I’m not a lesbian and I don’t like women touching me”.

She said at the time: “He told me he did that with all his past girlfriends, that I was the only one (who refused), that it’s very rude that I can do that to him.”

Spiritual manipulation

The singer accused Suleiman of “trying to capture her physically, spiritually, and mentally”.

She accused him of using spiritual means to intimidate and silence her after their affair went awry.

“I wanted to get rid of him. I deleted his number, everything. It was when I suspected something was going on, last year, I started gathering evidence,” she had said in 2017.

But in present-day, Otobo says her shocking revelations and extensive expose, which earned her a lawsuit, were orchestrated by politicians and pastors whom she failed to name.

Her flip-flop on the matter begs the question: if she lied before, what’s to say she’s not spewing untruths again?
