The National Executive Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress
has approved a one year tenure extension for the party chairman, John
Odigie-Oyegun, and all other elected and appointed party officials, Punch
reports.
There has been an internal crisis in the ruling APC which led to the
president setting up a reconciliation committee headed by a chieftain of the
party, Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu had written a letter of complaint to Odigie-Oyegun which he
copied to President Buhari. In the letter, he accused the party chairman of
sabotaging his reconciliation efforts in the party.
