Dutse – Jigawa State Deputy Governor, Barr. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, three senators and members of the House of Representatives were absent during the just concluded APC State Congress.
This is as some disgruntled elements in the party made effort to disrupt the proceedings to mark their displeasure for self-imposed candidates during the party’s Ward and Local government Congresses.
Independent has observed that the state’s APC Congress was characterised by physical combats by some aggrieved party supporters leading to the injuring of one person while some others sustain a high degree of injuries at the venue.
There was also a mild drama between the security forces and member representing Dutse, Hon. Sule Musa Dutse who arrived at the venue while the governor was seated.
The security personnel attempted to block him from entering the venue, situation which nearly diverted the attention of the gathering until the intervention of security personnel who waded into the matter for redress.

The APC State Congress returned all the thirty-six state officials unopposed based on consensus formula adopted by the 1, 618 delegates at the congress. Former speaker of the state assembly, Hon Idris Garba who was appointed chairman of the State APC Congress expressed the hope that the re-elected party officials will continue from where they stopped.
