APC
chieftain, Magnus Abe has gained an upper hand in his rift with the Minister of
Transport, Rotimi Amaechi as the ruling All Progressives Congress has cancelled
the all Ward Congresses in Rivers state.
PoliticsNGR gathered that the
party in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun,
said it cancelled the congresses following complaints from some leaders of the
party in the state.
The
APC rescheduled the Ward Congress to hold tomorrow, Saturday, May 19, while the
Local government congress will hold this Sunday, with the State Congress now
set to hold on Monday.
