OKONJO-IWEALA SLAMS BUHARISTS OVER ENDORSEMENT CLAIMS

The former Minister for Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has berated handlers of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 presidential election campaign over claims that she endorsed President Buhari.
The Media Team of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala stated the rebuttal in a disclaimer.
The disclaimer pointed out that the former Minister had refuted such claims in earlier statements.
In this latest rebuttal, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala’s team stated:
“Our notice has once again been drawn to the resuscitation of this poorly composed viral message, which Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala had once taken the pain to refute.
“We urge all well-meaning Nigerians to ignore and profile it as the product of desperate politicians that it is.
“Dr. Okonjo-Iweala has come out to say she does not endorse anyone for elections and that each candidate should run on the merit of their person without using her well-earned name as a credibility pole vault,” the brief disclaimer concluded.

Ahead of the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) unveiled a 197-member council on Wednesday to lead its campaign.
