NO IMPOSITION DURING PARTY PRIMARIES – Delta SSG, Festus Agas…AS PDP Promotes Internal Democracy

The Secretary to the Delta State Government, Hon. Festus Ovie Agas has advised all PDP aspirants to go about their campaign without fear of imposition as no one is going to enjoy any special treatment.

The SSG gave the assurance while speaking at a meeting of PDP stakeholders in Ughelli North local government area today. He emphasized that the era of imposition was over as the party and the State government under Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa are serious about internal democracy within the State PDP.

Also speaking during the meeting, the PDP LGA Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Agbatutu informed stakeholders of the forthcoming primaries of the party, noting that so far only the office of the governor that is yet to have an aspirant. He announced that the party will have a rally on Friday 7 September 2018 to be attended by His Excellency, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor. The rally will hold at the Oharisi primary school to receive decampees.


The meeting was attended by elders and leaders, which included former minister, Dr. Steve Oru, General Dominic Oneya, Hon. Mariere, Hon. Oharisi, the commissioner for finance, Chief David Edevbie among many other prominent leaders.
