Popular Nigeria Comedian Francis Agoda Known I go dye has attacked former Governor of Delta State Former Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduagha over political ambition.
If you can rent 1000 KVA generator for 1,536,000,000 ( one billion five hundred and thirty-six million ) to run the dome Event centre when you can buy that generator for 43 million. What will you rent or do when you become a senator? Life often offers us an opportunity to act, speak and do the needful at all time. I am destined to speak and act for the voiceless.
However, As the Ukaid Goodwill Ambassador on making a difference against corruption, I believe, that for us to collective prosper as a nation we all must speak and act against corruption.
Remarkably, the fight against corruption has not been objective. The warm embrace and presidential handshake is given them after decamping expresses negativity in the fight against corruption.
At this point in our Nation, the true value of our lives as citizens will be appreciated if we look beyond our immediate status of comfort and build a patriotic ideology to protect our country from further abuse.
In my civil quest to change and advocate for youthful leadership what is right, charity must begin at home. In reflection of what should be ideal, Ex-Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan born 22 October 1954 age 64 years, on August 6th 1999 age 45 years you became Commissioner for Health in Delta State, on 6 June 2003, Uduaghan was appointed Secretary to the Delta State Government and 29 May 2007 age 53 you became governor of Delta state. You should be advocating for a younger candidate, instead of the personal ambition to run for the Senatorial position in Delta State.
After enjoying the executive position for (8) eight years, with allocation of 62.2bn a year x 8 years, over Five trillion nine hundred of over Five trillion nine hundred and seventy one billion two hundred million (5,971,200,000,000 )within that period, nothing can be ascribed to you ,in terms of infrastructural and human capital development. This is enough reason why he shouldn't seek any other elective position in Delta State.
Honestly speaking, what does he want to achieve for Delta State, that he failed to do, for the past 16 years when he had all the resources in his control of 25 Local government as the Executive Governor, compared to becoming a Senator with lean resources to undergo mere constituency projects worth two hundred million? (200,000,000).
Interestingly, if he had transformed Delta State to the least part of Lagos in terms of social and structural development or built a modern city even in his Local government council of origin or within our coaster areas, they won't have to be any reason for him to buy a property in Banana Island.
Obviously, Delta State is blessed with wonderful landscapes that can offer such platforms, like the glorified Banana Island, but nothing has been developed in these regards. The template of Delta beyond oil that he promoted during his tenure only existed in the media; no foundation was built by him to verify this claim.
I have no personal interest but I am speaking the minds of Deltan's whose pensions were not paid even in his tenure when he was Governor. The list is endless, the general consensus is very open. We all have a role to play in rebuilding Nigeria and I must play my part, regardless of who is concerned. This is our fatherland and we cannot give emptiness to our children.
In my own field of entertainment, he built an event centre in Asaba, very expensive for the ordinary citizens to rent, because of the high cost. A careful study of the Dome event centre in Asaba which he built, shows one of the biggest waste of modern times, where the facility is run by a rented generator.
During his time as governor, he spent four million naira to rent a 1000 KVA generator on each occasion he hosted at the Dome Event centre. Unfortunately for Delta State, while the sum of buying the generator about 43 million, but almost 1.5 Billion naira or more was spent for renting it, all through the while, he was the governor of Delta State, spending 4 million naira per week multiplied by 4weeks which is month 16,000,000 (million) × 12 which is a year 192,000,000 (million) x 8 = 1,536,000,000 ( one billion five hundred and thirty three six million ) some events can run for a week, it depends on the activities in the state.
This is just part of the wastefulness recorded during his tenure as Governor. My question for you, do you run any of your personal properties across Nigeria with rented generators? He should be asked the reason for not buying a generator or as a Governor he should have introduced alternative modern technology to manage the power supply for the event centre. Unfortunately, he didn't buy it before his tenure elapsed.
However, after controlling the State resources for 8years, his administration increased the debt profile to over 500 billion naira and didn't bring any meaningful development to our people, nothing to show for the massive debt.
This is not about our personal interest, it is beyond the blame that is been placed on the political parties either as PDP or APC, the fundamental problem are the people who have failed to live according to the ideology of their irrespective political parties and against the desires of the people.
I shall continually act in the interest of the larger society, but I am reflecting one simple fact for politicians to understand, that when leadership opportunities come their way, they should leave legacies that will speak for them. Money is not everything, prosperity will judge us. I will continue to invest my profile and risk commendation, because a future that we fail to protect today, we shall live inside, as slaves in the future.
Consequently, My passion a global goals Ambassador has inspired me towards consultation with some stakeholders I will advise him to become an elder statesman and agitate for the reopening of our seaports across Niger Delta which I have told him before, interestingly this will expand the opportunities for our youths as a means to create jobs
We cannot keep silent, hoping the best for today or the future. We all should speak for the betterment of our people, respective of our status, they should know that leadership without sacrifice is a wasteful privilege.
