President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Ben Omogo as Acting Executive Secretary of National Health Insurance Scheme [NHIS] compelling Embattled Executive Secretary, Usman Yusuf on administrative leave pending the conclusions of investigations of the agency.
The Governing Board of NHIS had placed the embattled Executive Secretary on suspension over series of allegations.
But, the embattled Executive Secretary resisted the suspension as he resumed back to the office in the company of armed policeman.
However, in a statement by the President Buhari, the Exec Sec, National Health Insurance Scheme, Usman Yusuf has been placed on administrative leave with immediate effect, pending the conclusion of investigations.
In his absence, Ben Omogo, Director of Admin, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, deployed to oversee NHIS.
