SUPER EAGLES TO FLY FROM ASABA AIRPORT TO JOHANNESBURG TODAY FOR BAFANA CLASH

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will travel directly to Johannesburg on Thursday for Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

The players and their officials, it was learnt, will fly straight to Johannesburg on Thursday evening from the Asaba International Airport, aboard a Max Air chartered flight. This will be the first international flight from Asaba Airport.

They will have a feel of the FNB Stadium Johannesburg on Friday, a day to the highly anticipated encounter.

The team is expected to return to Asaba immediately after the match on Saturday.

The Super Eagles will also take on the Cranes of Uganda in a friendly game at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba next week Tuesday.

Gernot Rohr’s team commenced preparations for the crucial game on Monday with seven players reporting for duty.

More players are expected in camp today (Tuesday)with the team expected to hold two training sessions.

The Super Eagles are top of Group E standings in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers with nine points – one point ahead of South Africa, while Libya is on four points and Seychelles have one point.
