ATIKU GROUP DRAGS LAURETTA ONOCHIE THRU MUD OVER FAKE NEWS

The Atiku Support Group [ASG], North West chapter, has dragged President Muhammadu Buhari’s Aide, Ms. Lauretta Onochie over fake report.
The Assistant National Secretary of North West ASG, Mr. Mohammed Dahiru Lawal took Ms. Onochie to the cleaners in a press release titled “Buhari’s Aide and the baggage of fake report” issued on Wednesday.
Mr. Dahiru Lawal noted that the resort to fake report “is another evidence of the kind of minions allowed to run the affairs of a country with great potentials”.
He relished the panic that must be greeting the President Buhari camp as a result of the pro-Atiku North West rally in Sokoto and advised them to brace up for more shocker.
He stated that “as events unfold they may be paralyzed out of office if they refuse to arrange for an emotional defense mechanism”.
Read the statement in full  below:
Ordinarily, we would not have responded to a professional liability who is struggling to reconcile the requirements of her job description with that of her selfish inclination, but it would be a disservice to Nigerians if we do not point out that this is clearly one more reason why the APC led Federal Government should not be endured by Nigerians beyond 2019.
Having taken it upon ourselves in the North West to tow the path of liberating the country against such Lilliputian display from mediocres whose only idea of being in office is to display cluelessness at the expense of our Commonwealth, we owe Nigerians that much.
Nigerians should mark this as another evidence of the kind of minions allowed to run the affairs of a country with great potentials.
When a “presidential” insider resorts to paddling the very fake news that denigrates ethics and morality, it only tells us much about the kind of petty line up we have around the President, a pointer to the fact that Nigerians may as well forget about expecting anything good from these people.
Gracefully, we have an alternative.
We can understand the panic that must be greeting the Buhari camp as a result of the North West rally in Sokoto but we can only advise them to brace up for more shocker because as events unfold they may be paralyzed out of office if they refuse to arrange for an emotional defense mechanism.
For the aide in question, we understand her panic at the glimpse of losing her daily bread in about six months from now.
Unfortunately, we cannot help that condition. We can only assure her that as long as she aligns her interest with the majority of Nigerians, she will never lack.
We use this medium to call on Nigerians to arm themselves with their PVCs and do the necessary weeding out come February, 2019.
Nigerians have the assurances of our commitment towards replacing “personality” with capacity and we would not relent on our oars.
For the opposition, it is never too late to turn a new leaf. Our doors shall always be open to welcome you into salvation.
We feel the coming of a new Nigeria, a smart Nigeria, a working Nigeria.
“Join us, #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain,” the statement concluded.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...

THE ENDURING LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP: Chief James Ibori Celebrated for His Impact on Delta State

On Friday, May 31st, during the funeral service for the Late Asagba of Asaba, the essence of true leadership was vividly displayed. The service featured the introduction of various dignitaries, including Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation who represented President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. As each dignitary was introduced, the church remained silent. However, the atmosphere dramatically changed when the name of Former Governor James Ibori was announced; the congregation erupted in wide jubilation and applause. This reaction was so profound that even Senator George Akume and Governor Obaseki could not hide their astonishment. The enthusiastic reception for Chief James Ibori during this solemn occasion highlighted his enduring legacy among the people of Delta State. Despite having left office seventeen years ago, he continues to be celebrated whenever he attends public functions i...
